Our Mission

The Mesothelioma-Care-Center (MCC) provides information from organizations that promote policies, programs, partnerships, and research to eliminate asbestos and the burden of mesothelioma cancer within the United States, European Union and worldwide, and to provide the public with educational medical information as it pertains to mesothelioma and asbestos.

Our Principles

	All Americans, especially the medically underserved and cancer survivors, should have access to information that includes cancer prevention, detection, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, mental health, and long-term care services.
	Survivors, and patient’s friends and/ or family members have the right to provide legal information as it pertains to the relationship between mesothelioma and asbestos, mesothelioma and asbestos legislation, policies and programs intended for their communities to notify the public of the dangers of mesothelioma and asbestos. This will result in saved lives, and accountability due to corporate knowledge on asbestos dangers in the workplace.
	Survivors, and patient’s friends and/ or family members can play major roles in developing health policies, legislation and programs intended for their communities to notify the public of the dangers of mesothelioma and asbestos. This will result in saved lives.
	Survivors’ programs are needed to teach people how to prevail over cancer. These are steps that will enable culturally diverse and medically underserved people to obtain health services to reduce cancer fatalities in this country.
	Much higher priority must be given to research and control programs on cancers disproportionately affecting minorities and the medically underserved. Research can assist in detecting any cancer disparities between population groups, as well as identifying relevant risk factors.
	People have the right to fight for more comprehensive epidemiological research to accurately document the scope of mesothelioma cancer today in this country.
	Diverse populations must be fully represented in clinical studies and research supported by public and private sector funds, in order to fully understand the scope and magnitude of mesothelioma cancer.
	Researchers must be trained, developed and utilized at all research and research management levels to properly notify the public of any asbestos dangers.
	Individuals from racial, ethnic and culturally diverse groups must be involved in the design and delivery of cancer education and patient advocacy programs if they are to be successful in their target populations.
	Preventive health education and medical benefits should be provided to those who were wrongfully exposed to asbestos resulting in mesothelioma cancer.
